On the morning of the 15th of April 1912, the RMS Titanic fell to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. It was a tragic disaster that left society in shock. The "unsinkable" ship went down, and it took over half of the passengers' lives with it. The survivors would never forget the people who died, the people in their lifeboat, and the voices of all the drowning people they couldn't save.
The officers on board did everything in their power to avoid the iceberg, and to save the passengers. (See Commander CH Lightoller's story under the Survivors' Stories tab) Most Officers went down and died with their ship, but the few that survived will never forget their coworkers or what they contributed in saving as many people as possible.
Laws were changed after the disaster to fit new discovered safety hazards.
